Combating Adverse Atmospheric Changes
We reduce the use and atmospheric emission of ozone-depleting substances and work towards the phase-out of hazardous substances from the market, thereby helping to slow down the degradation of the ozone layer.
Our History
Montreal Protocol
The Montreal Protocol on Substances that Deplete the Ozone Layer was signed in Montreal. One of the document’s priorities was to establish a system for the recovery and regeneration of freons – an idea that would soon become one of the key missions of the PROZON Foundation.
Foundation Establishment
In September 1995, the PROZON Ozone Layer Protection Foundation was established. Its founders were two leading players in the refrigerant distribution market in Poland at the time – Liquid Carbonic Polska and Termo Products Ltd. (now: Air Products Sp. z o.o. and Schiessl Polska).
Official Registration
Just six months later, on March 14, 1996, the District Court for the city of Warsaw officially registered the PROZON Foundation in the Register of Foundations. We consider this day as the official birth date of our organization.
New Founder
A third founder joined the original two – Linde Gaz Polska Sp. z o.o.
Name Change
The decision to change the name was made 19 years after the organization was founded, when we officially ceased to be known as the Ozone Layer Protection Foundation. On June 27, 2014, we adopted a new name: PROZON Climate Protection Foundation.
Dynamic Growth
The PROZON Foundation expands its activities year by year. We build new, comprehensive facilities and intensify efforts to protect the environment by spreading knowledge and ecological awareness. We participate in fairs and conferences, organize trainings and courses, and continuously implement modern solutions that help counteract adverse climate changes!
